where can I get freelance website design or flash work?
I am based at India. Expert in flash, photoshop html, css etc. 5 years experience.
Once you have a portfolio together, getting work should be relatively simple once you put some effort into it. Your best bet for work if you don’t have much of a portfolio yet is to contact friends and family and see if they have immediate contacts for people in need of some web design work. You’d be surprised how many people are out there that are looking for people to do this.
If friends and family don’t get you anything, hit some local businesses and see if any of them have a web presence, or need one updated and/or redesigned. Once you get a couple projects behind you, and you did a good job, word of mouth will start to work for you, and people will begin seeking you out.
Also, make sure you create business cards. Hand them out to people you meet even if they aren’t looking for any help at the moment – they may run across somebody who is, or they may need some work in the future. It’s really cheap advertising.
Well the first thing you need to do is to put a portfolio up for people to see it, I would advise you to invest into a domain, then submit it to google and yahoo. Get your name out there, Deviant art and other places like that are also a good idea.
