What are the names for things on a Web page?
I want to be fluent in speaking with a Web Designer, where can I find how things on a page are called? Any good URL? Imagine I want to describe the Answer Home page in words. Thanks!

The things on a web page are called pictures, text, buttons and input fields.
Don’t try to look like you know what you’re talking about when you don’t – you will only look foolish. Any decent web designer will know what you are talking about if you description of a thing, its behaviour, its interactions, etc., are accurate enough. You don’t need the jargon to be fluent.

HTML – Banners, borders, text, font etc, graphics (file names – bitmap, jpeg, gif).
Do a goggle search for HTML and you will get some answers that way, good luck x
